Dr. Hesham is a fellowship-trained hip and knee surgeon specializing in complex primary and revision hip and knee replacements and sports injuries. He completed his training in London at the prestigious Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore rotation as well as the internationally renowned Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at the University of Western in Canada.

Dr. Hesham has also trained at the ENDOKlinik in Hamburg and Harborview Hospital in Seattle gaining extensive experience in total knee and hip replacement surgery. He worked as Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at King Hamad University Hospital in Bahrain and Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland before joining Mediclinic City Hospital. He has special interests in interest in hip arthroscopy, direct anterior total hip arthroplasty, hip resurfacing and uni-compartment knee arthroplasty.

Dr. Hesham has completed extensive research in orthopedics and trauma and has received numerous awards including the NHS Innovation Award and the Norman Capener Award from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and has published and presented several research projects in international journals and meetings.

He is a member of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine in the UK, a member of the Faculty of Surgical Training, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
