Hiroshi Itoh MD, PhD

Hiroshi Itoh is a professor of the Department of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Nephrology, Keio University School of Medicine, Tokyo, Japan, and was the president of the Japanese Society of Hypertension, the Japan Endocrine Society, and the Japanese Society of Cardiovascular Endocrinology and Metabolism. He received the Takamine Jokichi Award, Expert Investigator Award of the Japanese Society of Diabetic Complications, the Imura Clinical Research Award, the Japan Endocrine Society Award, and the Japanese Society of Hypertension Honorary Award. His research interests include hypertension, diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular hormones, diabetic nephropathy, and longevity medicine.
