Hiromi Sanada is a professor at the Department of Gerontological Nursing/Wound Care Management, Division of Health Sciences and Nursing, Graduate School of Medicine, and a director at the Global Nursing Research Center, The University of Tokyo, Japan.
Hiromi is also a president of The Society for Nursing Science and Engineering, and a former president of academic societies of wound care, Japanese Society of Pressure Ulcers, and Japanese Society of Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Management. Furthermore, she is a former vice-president of Japanese Nursing Association from 2011 to 2017, which is the largest professional organization for nurses consisting of approximately 650,000 nurses.
