Dr. Himanshu Nagar, MD, MS, is a radiation oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, specializing in the treatment of genitourinary cancers, including prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers. He serves as Director of the Genitourinary Program in the Department of Radiation Oncology, where he leads efforts to advance innovative, evidence-based cancer therapies.
Dr. Nagar’s clinical expertise includes advanced radiation techniques such as stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) and brachytherapy. His work focuses on integrating cutting-edge imaging and precision radiotherapy technologies to deliver highly targeted treatments that maximize effectiveness while minimizing side effects. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Nagar is actively involved in clinical trials aimed at improving outcomes for patients with genitourinary malignancies. He is committed to personalized cancer care, emphasizing treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique condition and needs.
Dr. Nagar earned his MD from the University of Texas Health Science Center and an MS from Weill Cornell Medicine Graduate School of Medical Sciences. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine and is board-certified in radiation oncology. Recognized for his contributions to the field, Dr. Nagar has received honors including the Prostate Cancer SPORE Career Enhancement Award and the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Physician of the Year Award.
