Hillel Tobias MD, PhD

Dr. Hillel Tobias is Director of Hepatology at Northwell-Lenox Hill Hospital. He has spent his entire professional career devoted to clinical research in the field of liver disease and the care of patients with liver disease. Previous to his appointment at Lenox Hill Hospital, he was the medical founder and Medical Director of the Liver Transplant Service at New York University Medical Center, starting in 1989. During this time, he was also Professor of Medicine and Surgery at the NYU School of Medicine. He is the author of numerous publications related to diseases of the liver. He has been listed repeatedly over the years on New York Magazine and Castle Connolly lists of 'best doctors'.
