Hideyoshi Harashima MS, PhD

Hideyoshi Harashima is a Professor of Pharmaceutics and the chair of the Laboratory of Molecular Design of Pharmaceutics, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Hokkaido University. He graduated from The University of Tokyo with B.S. (1981), M.S. (1983), and PhD. (1987) degrees in Pharmacy, and then was awarded a fellowship from the Japanese Society of Promotion of Sciences for postdoctoral studies at the Stanford University, School of Medicine (1987-89) in the field of Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics (PK/PD). He became an Associate Professor at The University of Tokushima, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences (1989) and subsequently accepted the position of full Professor at Hokkaido University, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences (1999). He was also appointed to the rank of Professor of a newly built Laboratory of Innovative Nanomedicine (2009).
