Hessa Bint Essa Buhumaid MBA, PhD

Her Excellency Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid ‎has been appointed as Minister of Community Development following the ‎Cabinet reshuffle of October 2017. Her responsibilities include promoting family cohesion and a community that is actively involved in development of the UAE. Her Excellency was the Assistant Director General for Government Services in the Prime Minister Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Future. Buhmaid oversaw the Emirates Government Service Excellence Program aiming to raise the efficiency of government service delivery.

Her Excellency has a role as well in launching the Government Services Factory, and the Customer Satisfaction project. She was also the Coordinator General of the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Government Excellence Program. Buhumaid holds an honor Master's degree in Business Administration from the American University of Sharjah, and an honor Bachelor in Business Sciences from Zayed University. She also holds an Executive Diploma in Public Administration from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Singapore.
