Hernan M. Amartino MD

Dr. Hernan Amartino currently heads the Child Neurology Department at Hospital Universitario Austral in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dr. Amartino is a child neurologist trained in inherited metabolic diseases. He is also a clinical researcher in rare diseases, with a special focus on lysosomal diseases and neurodegenerative disorders. His current projects are Hunter syndrome, Sanfilippo syndrome, Fabry disease, leukodystrophies, and metabolic epilepsies.
