Dr. Hera Stephens is a board-certified neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist at USF Health, where she serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology. She specializes in neuromuscular medicine and general neurology, with clinical expertise in peripheral neuropathies, myopathies, and electrodiagnostic medicine.
Dr. Stephens earned her medical degree from the Medical University of Sofia in 1994 and completed her internship in internal medicine, neurology residency, and fellowship training in clinical neurophysiology at USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. She holds board certifications in both Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
In addition to her academic and clinical responsibilities, Dr. Stephens is recognized for her patient-centered approach and commitment to compassionate neurological care.
