Professor Halliday has held numerous positions on national and international committees, working parties and research groups, dealing with perinatal and neonatal medicine.He is currently Chair of the Child Health and Welfare Recognised Research Group and the joint European Co-ordinator of the Neonatal Review Group of the Cochrane Collaboration. Her research interests are Acute neonatal respiratory disorders and surfactant replacement, Postnatal corticosteroids to prevent neonatal chronic lung disease, Pathogenesis of neonatal chronic lung disease with respect to inflammation, Fetal and neonatal transferrin receptors .
