Henrike Lenzen MD

Dr. Henrike Lenzen is a Senior Physician in charge of endoscopy and the intestinal outpatient clinic as well as a working group leader in the Clinic for Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Endocrinology at the Hannover Medical School. After studying human medicine at the Medical University of Hanover and at the University of Oxford/England, she completed her specialist training in the clinic for gastroenterology, hepatology, and endocrinology at the MHH under the direction of Prof. Dr. MP Manns.

Dr. Henrike Lenzen is a specialist in internal medicine and gastroenterology. From 2018 to 2020 she worked at the University Hospital Essen of the University of Duisburg-Essen as a Senior Physician of Central Endoscopy. Endoscopy is her clinical and scientific focus, in particular the use of innovative endoscopic techniques. Scientifically, Ms. Priv.-Doz. dr Henrike Lenzen with clinical-translational issues of liver and bile duct diseases and inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). She did her habilitation on this topic at the Hannover Medical School in 2018.

Dr. Henrike Lenzen is a member of the German and international PSC study group and has contributed to the creation of the guideline 'Autoimmune Liver Diseases' of the German Society for Gastroenterology, Digestive and Metabolic Diseases (DGVS). Ms. Priv.-Doz. dr Henrike Lenzen is a member of the Advisory Board of the Endoscopy Section of the German Society for Gastroenterology, Digestive and Metabolic Diseases (DGVS, 2021-2025) and has published numerous original scientific works as well as review and book articles.
