Henrik Malchau MD, PhD

Dr. Henrik Malchau graduated from the Medical School at Aarhus University, Denmark in 1977. He received his PhD in 1995 from Gothenburg University, Sweden. From 1993 - 2004 he was Chief for Department of Orthopedics, Gothenburg, and he was one of the founders of the Swedish Hip Registry and its Director for many years. Since 2004, Dr. Malchau has been an Orthopaedic Surgeon in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. He also co-directs the Harris Orthopaedics Laboratory, which has made numerous valuable contributions to improving the long-term durability of hip replacements and knee replacements.
