Henning Rud Andersen has been a specialist in cardiology. Henning Rud Andersen is employed as a chief physician at the Department of Cardiology B at Aarhus University Hospital in charge of ischemic research and animal experiments. Henning Rud Andersen is a Danish pioneer in the early development of artificial heart valves, and in 2009 he received the Hartmann Award for his contribution to Danish heart research. Henning Rud Andersen is involved in numerous research projects and is also active as a supervisor for students and PhD students. He has been a clinical associate professor at AU for several years, where he is involved in teaching medical students and has also instructed junior doctors for a number of years.
