Helena Mira PhD

Dr. Helena Mira is Head of the Stem cells and Aging Laboratory, at the Instituto de Biomedicina de Valencia (IBV-CSIC), Spain. She received her PhD. in Biology from the University of Valencia in 2000. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the Salk Institute (U.S.) and at the Karolinska Institute (Sweden) until 2004. She returned to the University of Valencia (Spain) as a Ramon y Cajal Program recipient, she started her independent group at the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (Madrid, Spain) in 2008 and was recruited to the IBV-CSIC in 2016.
