Helen M. Shields MD

Dr. Helen M. Shields is a physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She is also a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS). She received her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. She then completed a residency in internal medicine at Tufts-New England Medical Center (now Tufts Medical Center), followed by residency programs in internal medicine and medicine at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. She also completed two fellowships in gastroenterology at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. She is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine.
