Heather Wood

Dr. Heather Wood is a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist in private practice and was formerly a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Adult Psychotherapist at the Portman Clinic, Tavistock, and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. With a special interest in psychoanalytic perspectives on the compulsive use of internet pornography and pedophilia, she has taught widely on these subjects, as well as publishing papers in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and the British Journal of Psychotherapy and book chapters including in Lemma and Caparotta (2014) and Lemma and Lynch (2015). She is co-editor of Bower, Hale, and Wood (2013) Addictive States of Mind (Karnac), and co-author of Blumenthal, Wood, and Williams (2018) Risk: A Relational Perspective (Routledge).
