Dr. Sateia is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She graduated from Princeton University and received her M.D. from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. She completed her internal medicine residency and chief residency at Washington University/Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Following training she served as an Associate Program Director for the residency program at Wash U. and founded their primary care track. She came to Hopkins in 2013 with her husband who was pursuing a glaucoma fellowship at Wilmer.

Dr. Sateia is a dedicated primary care provider and clinician-educator who is passionate about primary care education and mentorship. Her educational research centers on curriculum development related to high value care, evidence-based medicine, and how we communicate these concepts with patients.
