Heather Brod BA, MA

Heather Brod is the Executive Director of Faculty Affairs and the Center for FAME (Faculty Advancement, Mentoring and Engagement) at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. In this role, she aligns faculty with organizational goals by strategically, programmatically and operationally directing career development activities for approximately 2000 full-time and 1400 volunteer faculty. She has published and presented nationally on mentoring, faculty attrition, and models for career development in academic medicine.

Heather serves on the Association of American Medical College’s Group on Faculty Affairs Membership and Nominating subcommittee and the Board of the Ohio Chapter of the Healthcare Business women’s Association as President. Prior to transitioning to healthcare in 2009, Heather worked in private art collection management. She holds an M.A. The Ohio State University and a B.A., University of Minnesota in art history.
