Hayley Flavell RN

Dr. Hayley Flavell is a committee member of two national groups with specialist interest in anticoagulation and thrombosis; Anticoagulation Specialist Association (ASA) and Anticoagulation in Practice (AiP).

She has been invited to attend several House of Commons All Party Parliamentary Thrombosis Group Meetings and has worked with the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) in their consultation process on ‘Reducing the risk of venous thromboembolism (deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism) in patients admitted to hospital’ and in 2010 Hayley commenced work with NICE in the development of the new venous thromboembolism management guidelines due to be published in 2012.
Hayley manages the trust Anticoagulation services, phlebotomy services and is also lead nurse for the Trusts VTE prevention and management policies.
