Haydeh Payami received her PhD in Genetics from the University of California, Berkeley. She has served as Professor of Molecular Genetics and Neurology at Oregon Health & Sciences University, Senior Research Scientist at New York State Department of Health, and is currently Professor of Neurology and Genomics at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology. The Payami Lab is working on pharmacogenomic strategies for prevention and treatment of Parkinson’s disease.
