Hatem A. Abuelizz BPharm, PhD

Dr. Hatem Abuelizz is a medicinal chemist and molecular biologist with deep knowledge in the genetics, biochemistry and chemical biology.

He has published several research articles in the synthesis and exploring of new drugs, deciphering the secondary metabolism of many Streptomyces species, genetic engineering strategies for producing carbohydrate mimetic, redesigning glycoconjugates. He is now an assistant professor of medicinal chemistry at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, College of Pharmacy, King Saud University, Riyadh.

He was ahead of Central Laboratory and Chief of International Collaboration of the college of pharmacy at King Saud University. Dr. Hatem is currently CEO-consultant of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) for the analytical laboratories and international collaboration. Moreover, he is a part-time researcher at the Saudi FDA Research Center & Consulting Study.
