Harumasa Nakamura MD, PhD

Dr. Harumasa Nakamura has been practicing as a physician and neurologist for almost 20 years. He served Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency as a reviewer 2005-2006 and 2012-2014. He visited the Institute of Human Genetics, Newcastle University, the U.K as visiting researcher from 2011-2012 and has an ongoing collaboration for Orphan drug development.

Since 2014, he has been working in his current position and handling several projects including the area of orphan drugs, regulatory science, patient registry, infrastructure for new drug development, and clinical neurology. He is a member of the TREAT-NMD Global Data systems Oversight Committee TGDOC as a member of the TGDOC Publications Committee and is also a principal investigator of REMUDY the Japanese patient registry for neuromuscular disorders.
