Harry Hoar III, MD, is a dual-trained internal medicine and pediatric hospitalist at Baystate Medical Center/Baystate Children’s Hospital, where he serves as Director of Pediatric Simulation. Dr. Hoar has been teaching medical students, residents, and clinical faculty about diagnostic error and clinical reasoning since 2007. He is particularly interested in the cognitive aspects of diagnostic error and the role of deliberate practice in the development of expert diagnosticians.
