Harish Ramakrishna, M.D., is a cardiovascular anesthesiologist, echocardiographer, and physician-scientist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is a Professor of Anesthesiology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, where he specializes in the perioperative care of patients undergoing complex cardiac and thoracic procedures, including heart and lung transplantation.

Dr. Ramakrishna's clinical expertise encompasses cardiothoracic anesthesiology, transesophageal echocardiography, heart failure, and the anesthetic management of patients undergoing advanced cardiac surgical interventions. His research focuses on cardiovascular anesthesia, perioperative medicine, critical care, echocardiography, mechanical circulatory support, and outcomes research, with the goal of improving patient safety and optimizing care for high-risk surgical patients.

After earning his medical degree from Bangalore University, Dr. Ramakrishna completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University and residency training in anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is board-certified in Anesthesiology and has received numerous honors recognizing his contributions to cardiovascular anesthesiology, education, and clinical excellence.
