Dr. Venkatramani is Consultant, Plastic Surgery and Trauma Reconstructive Surgery, Department of Plastic, Hand and Reconstructive Micro Surgery, Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore, India. He received his Medical Degree from the B J Medical College Ahmedabad and did his General Surgery Residency at B J Medical College Ahmedabad. He did his plastic surgery residency at Grant Medical College in Mumbai. Best Paper Prize - Indian Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, Kochin, 2016 for the paper titled “ Functioning Muscle Transfer following major replantation and revascularization in the upper limb. Invited Guest Faculty, New Zealand Orthopedic Association Annual Meeting at Queens Town July 2016 APSI – Visiting Professor in microsurgery for the year 2015 Armed Forces Endowment Award for Best Case Report/Ideas and Innovations award for articles published in IJPS – 2014 Invited Guest Faculty – Advances and Controversies in Reconstructive Microsurgery, Norwich - 2014 “Best Ideas and Innovation” award for the year 2014 – ISSH Visiting Professor to Mayo Clinic 2013 Prof Robert D Acland International traveling fellowship of the Indian Society for Surgery of Hand (ISSH) for the year 2013 Guest Editor of Special edition of Indian Journal of Plastic Surgery Sept 2011 Kilner Essay Award of Association of Plastic Surgeons of India for the Essay title “Finger Tip Replantation – to do or not to do an Indian experience.

Dr. NH Antia Prize of Association of Plastic Surgeons of India for the Best Paper published by its member in an indexed international journal in the year 2009 (Functional outcome following Restoration of elbow flexion and shoulder function in upper Brachial Plexus Avulsion Injuries). Published in Journal of Brachial Plexus and Peripheral Nerve Injury. IPRAS International Traveling fellowship of Association of Plastic Surgeons of India, 2006. Visited National University Hospital Singapore. President’s Peet Prize – Annual Association of Plastic Surgeons of India New Delhi Nov 2005, for Technical consideration and functional outcome of Replantation and Revascularization of Transmetacarpal Crush Amputation.
