Hans G. Ringertz MD, PhD

Hans Ringertz is a Professor of Diagnostic Radiology at KI 1984-2006 and chief physician at Karolinska Hospital 1987-2006. He is an Assistant professor at Stanford University since 2004 and Associate chair since 2013. Member of the Medical Nobel Assembly 1987-2006, its chairman 2003 and representative of the Nobel Foundation 2002-2007. His Ringertz preclinical research dealt with crystallographic structural chemistry, especially of purines. Later clinical research in pediatric radiology, especially with regard to heart and kidney diseases in children and adolescents.
