Hans Gregersen MD, PhD

Dr. Hans Gregersen is the President of the institute. He also serves as a board member, professor, and administrator of California Medical Innovations Institute. Dr. Gregersen previously served as a Professor in medicine, engineering, and bioengineering colleges in Denmark, Norway, Ireland, China, Hong Kong, and the USA. He has been a professor at the institute since 2017. He has served on several journal and congress editorial boards and was President of the 2015 OESO Congress held in Monaco. He was in the Chinese top foreign talent program from 2013-2016. Dr. Gregersen was a Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Chinese University of Hong Kong from 2016 to 2019. Dr. Gregersen established the GIOME network that has sites in the USA, Europe, Mainland China, and Hong Kong. He has several highly cited publications in gastrointestinal biomechanics as well as in other fields in gastroenterology, gynecology, and the cardiovascular field. Dr. Gregersen published six books in gastroenterology, primarily about new technological advances in mechanosensory research and diagnostics. Dr. Gregersen received grants from NIH, Chinese Science and Technology grants, EU-FP6, EU-FP7, and Danish Research Council grants.
