Prof. Dr. Hans Gollwitzer is a specialist in hip and knee replacement, hip and knee endoprosthesis replacement, and the entire spectrum of modern joint-preserving hip surgery. The main focus of his surgical work is hip arthroscopy (hip endoscopy), minimally invasive and muscle-sparing hip arthroplasty ( AMIS method ) as well as individualized partial and complete replacement of the knee joint. Prof. Dr. Gollwitzer has extensive experience in complex endoprosthetics for dysplasia and misalignments, in deformity correction, and in the treatment of endoprosthesis loosening. Prof. Dr. Gollwitzer is chief physician for hip surgery and knee arthroplasty at the ATOS Clinic Munich and chief physician for hip surgery at the Dr. Lubos Clinics – Bogenhausen. With over 500 publications and lectures as well as his regular work as a tutor in surgical courses, Prof. Dr. Hans Gollwitzer is in demand nationally and internationally as an excellent clinician and lecturer. In 2019, Prof. Dr. Gollwitzer was elected Vice President of the German Hip Society (DHG). He has been President of the German Hip Society since 2020. Furthermore, our hip specialist has been a member of the Educational Committee of the European Hip Society (EHS) since 2012. Prof. Dr. Gollwitzer was also a member of the Hip Committee of the Society for Arthroscopy and Joint Surgery (AGA) from 2013 to 2020.
