Hanna Nohynek completed medical studies, PhD and international health competence in Helsinki, Finland. She works as Chief Medical Officer and Head, Unit of Vaccine Programme at the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL, former KTL), Finland. She is the secretary of the Finnish NITAG, National Advisory Board of Vaccines (KRAR), and a member of THL Advisory Board for Vaccines. She practices at private travel health clinic of Aava/ Pikkujatti in Helsinki. The PhD work of Dr Nohynek was on the aetiology of childhood pneumonia in Finland, Russia, and the Philippines.
