Hani El-sabbahy PhD

Dr El-Sabbahy is a Biopharmaceutical Purification Application Engineer Specialist for 3M Purification UK and Ireland. As well as providing technical support and application advice to customers, he leads a number of research collaborations with well respected academic institutions with the aim of improving the downstream processing of biopharmaceuticals.

Prior to joining 3M, he worked as a Senior Downstream Process Development Scientist at Actavis Biologics where, as well as developing downstream processes for Biologics, he gained significant expertise on continuous downstream processing technologies. His work included leading projects to evaluate Continuous Chromatography and Single Pass Tangential Flow Filtration.

Hani obtained his PhD from University College London (UCL). His research at UCL focused on the design and characterisation of microfluidic devices for the downstream purification of microliter quantities of material. Hani also holds a Master of Engineering degree in Chemical with Biochemical Engineering from UCL
