Hani Alotaibi is an associate professor of molecular biology and genetics, working at Dokuz Eylül University and Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center in Turkey. He completed his PhD at Bilkent University in 2006, focusing on the transcriptional regulation of the human Na/I- symporter (NIS) gene. He also held a postdoctoral position at the Max Planck Institute for Immunobiology and Epigenetics and studied the regulation of Cdh1. His current interest is to understand the regulation of the mesenchymal to epithelial transition (MET), cancer resistance mechanisms, and transcriptional regulation in different cellular processes. We use an integrative research approach that includes cell biology and various omics methods.
