Hammad Athar MBBS, FCPS, FEBU

Dr. Hammad Ather is a consultant urological surgeon and associate professor at theAga Khan University, Karachi. He is an editorial board member of many international urological journals, author of over 85 articles in international indexed, peered journals and 7 book chapters in International books, mostly on Urolithiasis related areas. He is also an adviser and reviewer for over 2-dozen international urological journals. He is currently editorial board member of 4 International indexed journals as well. He is also served as invited guest editor on many special issues on diverse topics in urology. He has also served as associate editor and sectional editor of a book “The Management of Urolithiasis: The rational deployment of resources Springer-Verlag UK July 2012.

He has been an invited speaker and faculty in over 20 international meetings in Europe, US and Asia-pacific. He has supervised over 15-research dissertation leading to final fellowship in urology at the college of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan. He is also reviewer of research grant for National medical research council, Ministry of health, Singapore, University research council, Aga Khan University, College of physicians and surgeons and Liaquat University of medical sciences. He has been director of urology residency program at Aga Khan University and has graduated 12 residents with another 10 currently enrolled.
