Hamish M. Munro MBChB, MD, FRCA

Hamish M. Munro, MD, FRCA, is an anesthesiologist at The Heart Center at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Dr. Munro specializes in anesthesiology for all types of pediatric surgery, and is board certified in anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology.
Dr. Munro received his medical degree from Godfrey Huggins School of Medicine at the University of Zimbabwe. He completed fellowships in pediatric and cardiac anesthesia and intensive care at Southampton General Hospital in England.
Dr. Munro has served as an associate professor of anesthesiology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and as a pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist at Nemours Cardiac Clinic. Most recently, he was director of cardiac anesthesia at Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Munro is a fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and a member of the Congenital Cardiac Anesthesia Society. Along with his partner, Kevin de la Roza, MD, Dr. Munro co-developed the EASE App, a mobile application for updating families on the progress of their loved ones during surgery.
