Hamed Aryafar, MD, is a board-certified interventional radiologist. He specializes in treating pediatric and adult vascular malformations, including arteriovenous malformations, venous malformations, venolymphatic malformations, Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome and other vascular lesions.
An associate professor and vice chair of Radiology Informatics in the Department of Radiology at UC San Diego School of Medicine, his research explores portal hypertension, vascular malformations and medical informatics as a tool for improving patient care.
Dr. Aryafar completed a fellowship in interventional radiology and a residency in diagnostic radiology at UC San Diego School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Chicago Medical School. He is board certified in interventional radiology and diagnostic radiology.
