Hamada R. Makarita DDS, LVIM, MAGD

Dr. Makarita graduated from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1988, and maintains a private practice in McLean, Virginia with an emphasis on physiologic based aesthetic dentistry. His passion is to create beautiful smiles while providing comprehensive dentistry for total health. Dr. Makarita believes strongly in continuing education and is committed to keeping up with the latest techniques and materials to provide his patients with exceptional dentistry.
Dr. Makarita was awarded Mastership status in the Academy of General Dentistry. In order to achieve this, he was required to attend over 1100 hours of continuing education in all phases of dentistry, of which 400 of those hours involved participation courses and case presentations. He is among an elite group of cosmetic dentists who have achieved Accredited Fellowship status by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD.COM) To date, this prestigious professional designation has been awarded to only 64 dentists worldwide. To achieve accreditation, one must complete extensive advanced education in cosmetic reconstructive dentistry and must pass a rigorous Accreditation Board Examination. In order to become an Accredited Fellow, one must successfully present 50 clinical cases to the examining board. Fellowship marks the highest level of clinical achievement in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Makarita reached this status through a dedication to continuing education and the resolve to produce exceptional dentistry.
