Halvard Boenig MD, MA

Halvard B. Boenig is a full professor (W3) for translational development of cell therapeutics at the Goethe University Frankfurt, Department of Medicine, and an Affiliate Professor (full) of Hematology at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA. He studied human medicine, English, and art history at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and completed his clinical training as a pediatrician at the HHU Düsseldorf and as a doctor for transfusion medicine at the Frankfurt Institute of the DRK Blood Donation Service Baden-Württemberg-Hessen. His scientific focus is translational cell and gene therapy, i.e. the development of cell-based drugs for (experimental) use in humans.
