Hakim Yadi PhD, BSc

Dr Hakim Yadi is the Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Health Science Alliance, a new company limited by guarantee established to develop and integrate the biomedical research capabilities of the founding Universities, NHS trusts and Academic Health Science Networks. Hakim previously held the position of Principal Consultant in the Technology practice at PA Consulting Group and has worked in the life sciences, healthcare and technology sector for eight years. At PA Hakim worked with universities, healthcare providers and industry to establish translational medicine collaborations and partnerships that sought to maximise the value and utility of biomedical research. Hakim has experience of strategy, business planning, pricing and market access as well as due diligence.
Academically, Hakim holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Cambridge, he conducted his research at the BBSRC Babraham Institute. Prior to his PhD Hakim gained a first-class hons BSc degree in Biology from the University of Bath. As part of his degree he held a year-long placement at UCB, Granta Park where he worked as a research scientist in the molecular cellular systems laboratory.
