PD Hakan Sarikaya is co-responsible for the stroke unit and the neurovascular ultrasound laboratory for the investigation and treatment of patients with cerebrovascular events. After studying medicine at the University of Zurich, he completed his clinical neurological training in St. Gallen and Zurich. He specialized in the field of stroke medicine, especially in the field of thrombolysis and dissection of cervical arteries, which are among the most common causes of stroke in young patients. His main scientific interest is the optimization of stroke prevention and risk factors in the general population.
