Habeeb Ahmad MD

Habeeb Ahmad, MD is an ivy league educated physician and nationally recognized ophthalmologist, corneal surgeon, and physician innovator. He currently serves as the Chief of Ophthalmology/Site Director for NYU Langone at Woodhull and as the Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the NYU Langone School of Medicine. He has over 65K patient encounters along with over 5000 surgical procedures in 10 years of practice.

Dr. Ahmad recently graduated as a Harvard Scholar in Surgical Leadership from Harvard Medical School. He has completed two residencies sequentially, an Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology, and is one of the few physicians worldwide to be dual trained in primary care and surgery. He then went on to become chief resident at his Ophthalmology training in New York City, followed by an elite cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at the prestigious Doheny Eye Institute in Los Angeles.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Ahmad has presented at national and international conferences, published articles in peer-reviewed journals, secured grant funding, and collaborated with numerous stakeholders in healthcare. His opinion and consultant services are sought after in the private sector for biotechnology startups, healthcare innovation, telemedicine/AI and disruptive technologies in medicine. Dr. Ahmad has excelled as an experienced physician administrator and leader utilizing his clinical skills, operational expertise and unique approach with colleagues to help expand his department.
