H. Dadang Makmun FACG, MD, PhD

Prof. Dadang Makmun is a senior lecturer and currently practising as a senior consultant of Gastroenterology & Hepatology in Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital, Jakarta. He graduated Medical Doctor (MD) from Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia, Jakarta in 1983 and received his degree of Internal Medicine specialist (internist) in 1995 in the same University. In 2011, he accomplished his PhD degree in study program of Primatology in Bogor Agricultural University.
now he is a Professor of Medicine in Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia.. Prof. Dadang Makmun is the former President of Indonesian Society for Digestive Endoscopy and currently he is the President of Indonesian Society of Gastroenterology where he involved in 6 National Consensus on Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy in the last 9 years. Now he is the Head Department of Internal Medicine Universitas Indonesia/Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital, Jakarta, Indonesia.
His areas of interest are Endoscopy including Enteroscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound, ERCP, IBD, IBS, Colorectal Cancer, Esophageal Cancer, Peptic Ulcer Disease, Pancreatobiliary Disease, and NSAIDs Gastroenteropathy.
