Dr. Guy Fagherazzi is a Director of the Department of Precision Health at the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH), which is composed of 9 research units and where he leads the research activity related to public health and epidemiology. He is the Head of the Deep Digital Phenotyping Research Unit at LIH. He is a Senior Research Scientist in Digital Epidemiology with strong expertise in the analysis of large population-based studies using Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods. First trained in Mathematics, he obtained a double Master's Degree in Statistics and Epidemiology.
He started to work on digital epidemiology during his PhD in 2008 on large French and pan-European population-based cohort studies when he was in the Centre of Research in Epidemiology and Population Health, the largest research center in public health in France. During his postdoctoral period, he has made two research stays as a Visiting Scientist and initiated a collaboration still ongoing with the Diabetes and Population Health Unit at the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute in Melbourne, Australia.
