Gustavo Rodrigues Pedrino Graduated in Biological Sciences (Medical Modality) from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). He obtained the title of Master and Doctor in Science from the Graduate Program in Pharmacology at UNIFESP. During his doctorate, he spent a year at the Department of Physiology of The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio as a Research Fellow. He held a postdoctoral degree at UNIFESP. He is currently Associate Professor I at the Department of Physiological Sciences at the Federal University of Goiás (Goiânia), where he is the Laboratory Coordinator for Pathophysiology and Molecular Biology of the Nervous and Cardiovascular Systems at the Research Center for Neuroscience and Cardiovascular Physiology. He was the Coordinator of the Multicenter Graduate Program in Physiological Sciences and the Graduate Course in Biomedicine at ICB / UFG (2014-2018). He was Secretary of the Deliberative Council of the Brazilian Society of Physiology (SBFis). He is currently Director of the Institute of Biological Sciences ICB / UFG and Treasurer of SBFis. Research Productivity Scholarship 1 at the Biophysics, Pharmacology, Physiology and Neurosciences Committee of CNPq (2020-2024). Your research is about: i. influence of the central inflammatory process on neuronal and sympathetic hyperactivity in models of cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension and heart failure; ii. neural pathways and mechanisms involved in the control of circulating volume and blood pressure; iii. polymorphism and susceptibility to the development of cardiovascular diseases; iv. synthesis of prototypes of drugs that act on the cardiovascular system; v. metabolic programming during pregnancy,
