Dr. G. Parthasarathi is currently working as Director, Post Marketing Surveillance and Control of Clinical Trials, Botswana Medicines Regulatory Authority. Before taking up this position, he was Consultant to Pharmacovigilance Program of India; was the Dean, Global Engagement, JSS University, Mysore. Also served as the Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy and Principal, JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru. Dr Parthasarathi was President of Asian Association for Schools of Pharmacy and Country Chair (India) of Asian Conference on Clinical Pharmacy recognizing his contribution to clinical pharmacy practice and education in Asia region.
In recognition of his teaching achievements in the field of pharmacy practice he was awarded Young Pharmacy Teachers Award 2000, Distinguished Alumni of the year 2002 from Manipal University. In 2010 he was awarded the Shroff Memorial National Award for his achievements in clinical pharmacy practice in Indian. He was closely involved with the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India and is a member of working group , signal review panel and core training panel of PvPI. He was nominated to be the Theme Leader for pharmacovigilance and drug use evaluation of BRICS Medicines Alliance. In addition, he was nominated as Member, Planning Group, Global Vaccine Safety Initiative of World Health Organisation. He is the founder President of International Society of Pharmacovigilance, South Asia chapter.
