Guillermo Plaza Mayor MD, PhD

Dr. Guillermo Plaza Mayor is a pioneer in the implementation of methods of endoscopic surgery and laser, Vocal of the Madrid Association of Otolaryngology (AMORL), and member of the Commission of Respiratory Sleep Disorders of the same Association. He is also Secretary of the Otorhinolaryngology Technical Commission of the Community of Madrid.

He is currently Head of the Otorhinolaryngology Service at the University Hospital of Fuenlabrada, the Sanitas La Zarzuela Hospital, the Las Rozas, Alcorcón, Núñez de Balboa and Conde Duque Millennium Centers in Madrid. And Associate Professor of Otorhinolaryngology at the Faculty of Medicine of the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid and Associate Professor at the Francisco de Vitoria University.

He holds a PhD in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Alcalá and a Degree in Pharmacy from the Complutense University of Madrid. He is accredited by FMGEMS (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination in the Medical Sciences) to practice medicine in the United States of America. He has completed the Master of Administration and Health Management of ICADE, and the Master in Design and Statistics in Health Sciences, Expert in Sleep Medicine, accredited by the CEAMS (June 2014), Master in Social Responsibility and Sustainability (2016, UCM ), in addition to multiple specialization courses throughout his long professional career. He writes articles in national and international journals, chapters of national and international books, and participates in national and international courses and congresses, as organizer, speaker or assistant to them.
