Grzegorz Opolski

A graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Warsaw. He received a doctor's degree in medical sciences in 1980 and a postdoctoral doctor in 1988. Member of the Committee of Clinical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences in the term 2011-2014. A member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Cardiology and the Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Member of the Main Board of the Polish Cardiac Society in 2004-2007. National consultant in the field of cardiology in the years 2002-2014.
His Scientific interests include stable coronary disease and acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, arrhythmias, in particular atrial fibrillation and electrotherapy, prevention of cardiovascular diseases.He obtained the title of professor in 1994. Since 1998, he has been the head of the 1st Department and Department of Cardiology of the Medical University of the Medical University of Warsaw, which he leads to the present.
