Gro Rosvold Berntsen, (doctor, MD) is a chief researcher at the National Center for eHealth Research. She started in the eHealth field in 2009. Her main focus is the development and evaluation of patient-centered health services with technology and health service innovation as tools. She is also concerned with quality in the health service, patient care during complex and long-term health needs and interaction. She was research director at the Center for Clinical Documentation and Evaluation (KDE) from 2005-2009. Under her management, SKDE was assigned the task as a national competence environment for quality registers. She has a doctorate in osteoporosis epidemiology from UiT Norway's Arctic University and was a graduate doctor in 1994. Berntsen also has a bachelor's degree at the Department of Public Health at UiT.
