Grey Giddins is a consultant Orthopaedic surgeon specialising in elbow, wrist and hand problems and nerve injuries. He has been a consultant in Bath for 18 years. He treats a full range of problems in the elbow, wrist and hand including carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren's disease, ganglions, arthritis and all aspects of hand care in all age groups. He has a particular philosophy of minimising the need for surgery. When surgery is needed he has developed new treatments under local anaesthetic to avoid the problems of general anaesthesia.

He has also pioneered a number of keyhole surgery techniques. He is very experienced in giving injections and has a published DVD on how to inject in the whole of the upper limb.As well as being an extremely experienced doctor, he is also the Editor of the Journal of Hand surgery and a member of the Councils of both the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, the European combined societies for Surgery of the Hand and the British Orthopaedic Association. He runs a busy research programme both at the Royal United hospital in Bath and the University of Bath.
