Gretchen A. McNally Ph.D., ANP-BC, AOCNP is a highly motivated and dedicated nurse practitioner who’s passionate about providing excellent customer service and high-quality, personalized care to my patients. She received her Doctorate in Nursing from The Ohio State University and has been a member of the hematology team at The James since 2007. In her current position, she works autonomously and in collaboration with a transdisciplinary health care team to provide comprehensive care for patients with Hodgkin’s and Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, including those infected with HIV, Kaposi’s sarcoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
As an expert in lymphoma, it’s great working at a hospital like The James that offers state-of-the-art treatments and opportunities for newer, more targeted/less toxic therapies through clinical trials. She is passionate about helping patients achieve their most optimal quality of life, and the staff at the OSUCCC – James shares that goal, collaborating as one giant team to provide the best care and service to our patients and their loved ones.
Gretchen's position at The James has allowed me to assume a leadership role as a mentor for new nurse practitioners and graduate-level nursing students, as well as a preceptor for Advanced Practice Professionals (APPs) with advanced clinical procedures. Additionally, She was honored to be named the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s inaugural Woman of the Year in 2010 and she remains active with Pelotonia, the AIDS Clinical Trials Community Advisory Board, and the Columbus Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society.
