Gregory M.M. Videtic, MD, CM, FRCPC, received his medical degree from McGill University Faculty of Medicine in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He completed the first residency in family medicine at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He later carried out a clinical research fellowship in geriatrics at the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario. A two-year position as a Hospitalist at the Nova Scotia Cancer Centre in Halifax was followed by residency training in radiation oncology at the University of Western Ontario. Under the mentorship of Dr. Laurie Gaspar, he completed a CNS radiosurgery/brachytherapy fellowship at Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich. He has been a Staff Physician at the London Regional Cancer Centre, London, Ontario; the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, Mass.; and is currently Section Head for Thoracic Malignancies and Residency Program Director in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Cleveland Clinic. His specialty interests include radioprotectants, radiosensitizers, stereotactic body radiotherapy, altered fractionation, and treatment toxicity.
