Dr. Gregory Marcus is a specialist in the treatment of arrhythmias, including mapping and catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardias and ventricular arrhythmias. He is also an expert in pacemaker, biventricular device and defibrillator implantation. Marcus also researches atrial arrhythmias, specifically serologic markers and genetic factors important to the disease. He is the principle investigator on research grants awarded by the National Institutes of Health and the American Heart Association. Marcus earned his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He completed an internship and residency in medicine at Stanford University Medical Center. Marcus then completed his training in cardiovascular medicine and cardiovascular electrophysiology at UCSF, where he is a professor of medicine.
